ANION EXCHANGE MEMBRANE COATING EQUIPMENT
ANION EXCHANGE MEMBRANE COATING EQUIPMENT
Anion exchange membrane coating equipment is a high-precision membrane processing device specifically designed to uniformly coat or deposit functional layers onto polymer-based membrane surfaces. Currently, this equipment is widely used in various fields, including water electrolysis for hydrogen production, fuel cells, the chlor-alkali industry, and electrodialysis. Not only does it have a wide range of applications and high functionality, it can also be used to prepare high-performance anion exchange membranes (AEMs) to improve their ion selectivity, conductivity, and chemical stability.
What is an anion exchange membrane?
Anion exchange membrane is a class of polymer membranes containing basic active groups, which have selective permeability to anions, also known as ion-selective permeability membranes.
Function:
Selective Transport of Anions: AEM is capable of selectively transporting anions (such as hydroxide ions OH),
allowing for efficient electrochemical processes.
Isolation gases: They can effectively isolate the hydrogen produced by the cathode and the oxygen
produced by the anode, avoiding the danger caused by gas mixing.
Improved Hydrogen Purity: In hydrogen production, AEM ensures that hydroxide ions pass smoothly from
the cathode through the anode, resulting in high-purity hydrogen, which is crucial for fuel cell
Application:
– New-type supercapacitors
– Water treatment industry
– Alkaline anion exchange membrane fuel cells
– Heavy metal recovery
– Flow energy storage batteries
– Hydrometallurgy
– Electrochemical industry
– Chlor-alkali industry
