What is packaging coating? What does it include? 

Packaging coating generally refers to: flexible packaging products, including packaging bags, lid materials, sticky notes, etc.

Common coating processes:

1.Heat-seal coating: It can be applied to paper, packaging films or aluminum foils, and is mainly used in the market of cup and bowl lids. It can provide tearable seals for rigid containers made of materials such as PET, PS, HDPE and PP.

2.Cold-seal coating: It can be applied to paper, packaging films or aluminum foils, and is mainly used in markets such as confectionery, bread and pharmaceuticals. It can provide packaging that can be sealed without heating. The coatings adhere to each other under the pressure of the packaging machine.

3.Adhesive coating: It is often used in dry and wet lamination. The material tape coated with adhesive is bonded with another material into a whole after all solvents or moisture are removed during oven curing

4.Primer coating and top coating: Primer coating is to improve the bonding force between the surface of the packaging film and the ink or coating. Top coating is applied on the dried ink, which can increase gloss, heat resistance and wear resistance, and prevent the surface from sliding.
